About us
Coolstudents.org was created in 2009 through the Literacy Enhancement Center of ARCA, a non profit organization in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our goal as students and teachers is to create a fun approach to learning.
Since opening our doors to students of all backgrounds in 1999, the role of computers in education has changed a lot. Students use the internet everyday, all over the world. A lot has happened in 10 years.
We use many online programs for reading, spelling, typing, math, and art. Most of the programs are free! We also find videos on the internet that can explain something we are learning in class. We learn more when we learn in different ways.
Although we use the computer more than ever, there are many students and classrooms way ahead of us. And that's good because they have shown us how a website can share so many great ideas.
We look forward to sharing our computer and internet knowledge with you. On this site you can find out about websites that teach all kinds of skills. We also review websites. We find that websites that provide clear audio and visualfeedback can be the most successful. Please share your ideas with us. We hope that this site will help many students and teachers for years to come.
